Micro-Mesh
Micro-Mesh products have a soft, resilient material between the cloth backing and the abrasive crystals.This cushion allows the crystals to float to an even cutting plane. This eliminates deep scratches and allows Micro-Mesh to use a relatively large crystal to produce a fine, even scratch pattern. For example, a 400 grit Micro-Mesh will cut like a 400-600 grit, but leave a 800-1000 grit finish.
Micro-Mesh can be used dry, but using most standard cutting oils, coolants, or even water will increase the life 5-15 times that of a conventional coated abrasives.
Best results will be achieved using Micro-Mesh with light pressure and/or at low rotational speeds. |
